Characteristics

ReDat3 Recording Unit enables recording and storage of voice and data communication conducted by means of telephone lines, radio networks, IP telephony networks and screen recording of agents´ PC screens. Recording of individual types of signals is preconditioned by the hardware module and software module (SW module for VoIP, PC screen recording). Since the ReDat3 architecture makes it possible to use several types of modules simultaneously; recording of several types of signals can be incorporated in one device.

Device Assembly

The recording device is based on PC principles with real time operation system QNX installed and software applications. We provide several variants of assembly, starting with devices based on commercial PC up to multi-slot industrial assembly with redundant elements.

Typical implementation

Architecture of ReDat Recording System

ReDat3 Recording Unit serves for professional implementation, when forms a most significant essence of large projects. Otherwise, it can be installed independently. ReDat Application Server provides the additional value to Recording Units. ReDat Application Server and ReDat modules are a functional superstructure shell above ReDat3 Recording Units, which provide agent's evaluation in contact centres, storage management, and speech analysis. ReDat Application Server forms the interface to other telco and custom software.

IP TouchCall Connector hide informationnext information

At dispatcher centres, where thousands of calls are executed, a reliable device for recording voice communication is necessary. This communication is usually conducted by means of various interfaces - analogue phones, digital lines, radio stations, VoIP, etc. An effective solution for these cases may be the conversion of the individual voice channels by through the gates into common format - VoIP.

A dispatch terminal IP TouchCall is often applied at central dispatch places, where the staff is operating at dispatch consoles. An example area for utilization is energetic and railways. In a close cooperation with TTC telekomunikace, s.r.o., the manufacturer of the terminal, RETIA, a.s. has developed a unique tool for recording of the communication on dispatch terminals.

Fields of application

  • Places of public data and information communication
  • Emergency contact centres and dispatch places
  • State administration authorities, government
  • Energetic
  • Military forces

Characteristics

IP TouchCall supports individual as well as group calls or listening of selected channels. The dispatcher can get into individual "conference rooms" and switch between them, or move speakers between the conferences. For recording all these options, ReDat Recording System is always connected as „an invitation to the conference." Therefore, ReDat system supports active recording.

The main advantage is that it is not necessary to configure mirroring of recorded VoIP packets and using SPAN / RSPAN. The active recording allows central recording of distributed central IP TouchCall terminals. The only condition is a network with IP connectivity (LAN, WAN, VPN via the Internet …). Using the proprietary protocol, additional call information and parameters from IP TouchCall are subsequently appended to the recorded calls in ReDat Recording System.

In addition to call recording, ReDat enables as well as chronological recording of events relating to dispatcher operation. Optionally, you can record screen shots of the terminal touch screens.

More over, ReDat enables storing all terminal communication joined into one channel - i.e. the communication of one IP TouchCall is mixed together and saved as one channel. An alternative configuration enables recording of individual calls, conferences and monitoring sessions as separate recording channels.

Conference calls

IP TouchCall sets up a conference call automatically using H.323 protocol to ReDat IP address. Conditions of a conference call can be configured:

  1. immediately after answering a call from the incoming calls queue or when setting the outgoing calls
  2. when joining the first participant into any recorded conferences
  3. when joining the first participant into a special "RECORDING" conference

The third option allows recording of technologies connected on IP TouchCall (including voice monitoring) in one channel only. When an icon displays, a dispatcher is informed about the active recording. When the call is finished or hang up by the last conference participant, H.323 link between IP TouchCall and ReDat is ceased and the call recording is terminated.

All records are archived with the compression type defined in ReDat Application Server. The saved data are then accessible by means of user-friendly interface of a web browser.

Properties

  • Centralized recording, „mirroring" is not needed
  • Redundant recording of one terminal on two or more ReDat3 Recording Units (located in different places)
  • Configurable recording method (single calls / conference calls / all in one channel)
  • Recording of telephone calls, events, screens
  • Access to records via the web browser
  • Recording supported by ReDat3 Recording Unit and ReDat VoIP Recorder
  • Optical indication of the current recording on IP TouchCall screen

ReDat3 LAN Client: Central administration and supervision of the recording system hide informationnext information

The tools for central administration and supervision enable securing of remote configuration, monitoring database of records and monitoring of system functions. ReDat3 LAN Client applications enables central administration, displaying database of records and access to ReDat3 Recording Unit functions via LAN/WAN.

ReDat3 LAN Client serves for showing the database of records and working with the data. This software uses a communication on a proprietary protocol. ReDat LAN products are intended for Windows OS. They are installed on removed workplaces, with access to ReDat products via LAN/WAN. The SNMP protocol is supported for incorporation into extensive supervisory structures.
