Project details
RETIA, a.s. with cooperation of ALCASERV, s.r.o. has realized the first contract in the far Zambia. The installation of ReDat Recording System has been performed for ZESCO Limited, the largest energetic supplier in Zambia, which is also engaged in a contact centre.
About ZESCO
ZESCO Limited is the biggest energetic supplier in Zambia. Its business can be compared to the European energetic titans like E. ON and CEZ. ZESCO manufactures and supplies electricity to Zambia and to neighbouring countries Angola and Mozambique. ZESCO is an owner of many power plants in Zambia (coal, hydroelectric power plants, including the water power plant at Victoria Falls).
Electricity consumption in Zambia is controlled and measured by pre-payment metering system. A pre-payment metering system is a system where a customer purchases energy before using it. The system operates as follows: An energy dispenser or pre-payment meter is located at the customer's premises. This has an interface to the customer for managing the transfer of credit and to display the meter and credit status. If the pre-paid card is not accepted, the customers are calling to a contact centre, where ReDat Recording System is applied.
About RETIA
RETIA, a.s. is a Czech provider of ReDat Recording System for dispatch centres, contact centres and telecommunication operators. ReDat Recording System records VoIP as well as conventional telecommunication systems, radio networks, computer screens and other data. ReDat is compatible with Alcatel-Lucent technologies.
Partnership program
RETIA and Alcatel-Lucent partnership brings direct technological support for all ReDat products. The partnership derives the profitable advantage for customers, because it is actively used for constant improvement of ReDat technological integration with Alcatel-Lucent. RETIA maintains all current versions of Alcatel-Lucent products in RETIA telecommunication test room. More over, ReDat Recording System has been tested directly in Alcatel-Lucent laboratories and passed the complex testing procedure. ReDatsystem is now Alcatel-Lucent certified thus, we can guarantee a prompt adaption of CTI integration for new released Alcatel-Lucent products.
Recording call centre calls
ReDat Recording System ensures recording and saving records in the ZESCO call centre of 50 agents. The peak hours in the call centre are between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., 7 days a week. It serves as a hotline for ZESCO customers, who process orders, complaints or ask about their pre-paid card credit.
Recording of power plant dispatch centre
The second implementation is a dispatch centre of an energy distribution. ReDat monitors every important communication in a power plant: office phones, commands for network connecting, phasing, wattage fall or disconnection. For the purpose if any failure or outage occurs, all decision making has to be recorded and documented.
ReDat solution
ReDat3 Recording Unit is linked via Alcatel-Lucent DR-link to analogue and digital extension lines. ReDat Application Server and ReDat CTI communicate with Alcatel-Lucent OXE and Alcatel-Lucent TSAPI and perform switching the channels of ReDat3 Recording Unit. ReDat CTI enables data attribution of records. In a near future ZESCO is planning to raise the number of recorded channels including VoIP twice as much.
