ReDat Get Together - Sailing Day 2010

RETIA sailing regatta on sport boats Melges 24 

RETIA a.s. arranged an interesting event for our business partners of ReDat systems - a yachting day at Macha´s Lake in the North-East Bohemia, which was held on 17 June 2010. Crew of the boats was from all over Europe. This sports event followed ReDat technical and pre-sales training for ReDat partners, which took place at RETIA seat in Pardubice from 15 June 2010.

RETIA sailing race on Melges 24 sport boats (length 7.5 m, width 2,5 m, weight 800 kg) was held at Macha´s Lake. International "sailor's" teams comprised of 8 yachts (up to 6 persons each). The morning program was focused on training basic principles of sailing. The most of us were complete beginners, therefore we carefully listened to the advices of experienced instructors, representatives of the CR in yachting, and learned to "tame" and control the boat, sails and wind. The weather was great.  A beautiful sunny day and little windy which was also very important. Shortly, it was a day like from sailing promotional brochures. At lunchtime, we relaxed and were gearing up to the afternoon race.  All teams wanted to win. We were in a good mood and enjoyed the race. We all wanted to win the competition, so we were fighting like professional regatta teams. However, the winner could become the only one team. This time it was the red team composed of Peter R., Vladimir V., Marek S. and Jiri K. Once again, congratulations!

The weather was truly wonderful, the late afternoon program was in the spirit of summer activities - swimming, beach volleyball, relaxing and drinking excellent Czech beer. The part of night program was a live performance of Mira Roskanin (a guitarist of Czech band "Prumyslova zona"), who you know as our Presales Manager of ReDat systems. Thanks to his enthusiasm, the nice atmosphere of live music and good mood lasted until lateness.

For myself, I would like to say that it was a great event. I am sincerely delighted that everyone was excited and had fun. Once again, we would like to thank all regatta teams and participants for attending ReDat Get Together. We look forward to seeing you on other amazing events.
