ReDat Explorer: Central administration and supervision of the recording system hide informationnext information

The tools for central administration and supervision enable securing of remote configuration, monitoring database of records and monitoring of system functions. ReDat Explorer module enables central administration, displaying database of records and access to ReDat3 Recording Unit functions via LAN/WAN.

ReDat Explorer is operated on a server with Windows OS; it secures remote management and online supervision over ReDat3 Recording Unit, ReDat Phone Recorder, ReDat VoIP Recorder and ReDat Application Server devices. It enables monitoring and configuration of ReDat devices and subsystem. Operation states and error messages are displayed on the supervisory console, sent by e-mail or SMS message.

Typical implementation

A customer is using ReDat3 Recording Unit and ReDat Application Server. As a complementary service, the customer requires a reliable administration and supervision of the complex recording system. On any server in the network, there is running ReDat Explorer, which ensures supervision over the recording system. If there is a failure, an error message appears. ReDat Explorer sends the error message to the system administrator by e-mail. The administrator informs the customer about the failure on time. In the message, there is a detailed description of the problem. The administrator then retrieves a problem using a remote connection to the device.

The functional options of new telephone sets may vary depending on a model and design. New manager's telephones are usually equipped with a large colour display and a high resolution or an extended keyboard. These telephone properties enable more sophisticated activities than just a simple call. Thanks to various software applications and to the support of standard communication protocols and technologies, which are integrated directly into the telephone firmware (http, Java, XML), customers can apply their telephones for advanced activities, e.g.: new telephones allow record control directly from the desktop.

The option of record control directly from the phone usually depends on the type of telephone. Then customers have to purchase more advanced and therefore more expensive telephones. The question is how to provide similar opportunities to cheaper or older telephones (e.g. analogue phones without display, which are installed in workshops of production plants)? RETIA, a.s. offers a simple solution called ReDat LineMonitor, which enables quick access to last recordings directly from the telephone.

ReDat LineMonitor characteristics

An optional software module, which is installed on user's PC next to the monitored telephone line. The application is running residently. The active line status is indicated with an icon placed on the Windows menu bar. The application is joined by ReDat Application Server and thus indicates the status of connected recorded channel and sends commands to its control. The icon reflects the current state of the channel. When you click the icon on the menu bar, a current state in text form will appear. The user interface for application control is accessible in the menu - click the right-mouse button on the application icon.

SNMP support in ReDat products: Remote support of ReDat applications hide informationnext information

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) forms a part of the internet protocol suite. SNMP is used in network management system to monitor network-attached devices for conditions that warrant administrative attention. It consists of a set of standards for network management, including Application Layer protocol, a database scheme, and a set of data objects.

SNMP support is provided to ReDat products. The management system is optional. SNMP protocol is standardized; it does not depend on the management system.

Typical implementation

As part of the routine work on the device you can carried out a detailed configuration of the device. The management system is based on SNMP. Generally, it is designed for customers with a large number of network elements (servers, switches, routers …). This system can distend for other additional elements. In addition, the customer can set the reference parameters, which he prefers.

ReDat INFO35 Connector: Identification and location of participant from Telefónica O2 database hide informationnext information

INFO35 is a service provided by Telefónica O2 and serves to obtain information about position of fixed line from O2 database. The service is provided only for integrated rescue teams, police, municipal police, fire fighters, emergency medical services, etc. The operator charges Service.

Database INFO35 contains localisation information about each fixed station. It means that each phone call has the information about an owner and his address in structured form. The address information is among others based on the UIR-ADR standard. After verification of the query (using a valid certificate), the database returns localisation information and these are supplemented to the ReDat Application Server records database and forwarded to the integrated rescue operators.

ReDat PhoneControl: Recording on demand from phone sets hide informationnext information

Would you like to record only some of hundreds of incoming and outgoing calls? Then use the function for user phone control directly from the desktop by pushing the button on the telephone set. This useful function is one of ReDat innovations, which was developed specially on customer's requests.

Temporary recording

Telephone call records are stored as temporary records (Without confirmation they will be erased after a specified period)
Temporary records can be saved as permanent records:

  • by pressing the button during a call
  • from ReDat Application Server after finishing a call

Records on request

  • Settings of call recording/not recording a call after a call beginning
  • Recognizing call fragments by multiple switching records on/off

Typical implementation

  • Recording of „critical" calls
  • Cases, when a part of a call needn't be recorded (e.g. confidential information)
