Central recording at Slovak power-station dispatch centre

Slovak national power supplier laid a claim to cover entire territorially vast network of water power plants with recording of dispatch centres. Putting a recording unit into each particular locality would mean financially very extensive solution. However exchanging existing PBXes for "homogeneous" telephone network built on Siemens HiPath enabled providing recording solution centrally.

While preparing this solution we deepen co-operation with Siemens Slovakia in the field of CTI integration of HiPath telecommunication system and ReDat3 Recording Unit. Besides employing central way of recording, other features could be implemented such as: recording of portable dispatcher's DECT station or monitoring incoming calls to dispatcher's line due to possibility to answer that call from another phone station.

Solution principle

Each phone call is switched to conference mode with ReDat3 Recording Unit being the third participant. ReDat3 starts recording ongoing communication simultaneously with answering call. Conference is made by Control module (ReDat Application Server) in order to monitor activities of telephones in dispatch centres. Communication between Control module and telecommunication system is handled by TServer (CTI server, Siemens PSE)
